- Why do I need an Internet connection to run PatientEducator Version 4.0?
- PatientEducator Version 4.0 takes full advantage of the Internet while managing several IACT exclusive features, including sharing custom data in a multi-user environment, custom data back-ups, and automatic updates. The Internet is also used for security features, including license validation.
- I get a message that (workstation name) has locked Customizations.
- Cause: The identified workstation has created custom data that has not been uploaded.
Solution: The lock will remain until the identified workstation uploads the data for distribution. Simply go to the workstation, enter and then exit CasePresenter. When prompted to upload customization, select Upload. - Can I use PatientEducator Version 4.0 at another office?

- Error message 910 or 2305 while at Client Workstation.
- Cause: The Host application is not running, or the network connection is broken.
Solution: Go to the Host workstation (with the IACT Key), and verify that the Host application is running.- If the Host application in not running, Reboot the Host workstation to relaunch the Host application.
- If the Host application is running, open the Host window and, select restart and then Hide.
- If these solutions do not correct the issue, consult your IT professional regarding network connectivity.
- When playing movies, nothing appears. Movies are black.
- Cause: QuickTime is not configured properly.
Solution: From the Start menu, select Control Panel. Open the QuickTime Control Icon and go to the Advanced tab. Check the box to enable Flash. Restart the PatientEducator. - Continually losing connection with Host requiring the resetting of the IP address.
- Cause: The Host workstation has a dynamic IP address.
Solution: The Host workstation requires a static IP address. Your IT professional should be consulted to resolve the issue - Error message 912 when I try to open PatientTrainer.
- Cause: You may not have a License for the product.
Solution: Call IACT for details regarding PatientTrainer including a free in-office trial.
